This national payroll week we want to celebrate the work our payroll team do, not only supporting their clients but being an essential part of the Wenn Townsend team.
Our payroll team are responsible for running the payroll function for hundreds of our clients, from small companies, to large organisations, whether that be charitable and educational settings, corporate clients, or director only payrolls, we can cater for everything in between. We spoke to Jasmine Hartshorn, payroll supervisor, and Samira Elouath, senior payroll advisor, about their roles:
Happy National Payroll week, tell us briefly why you enjoy working in payroll?
Samira: Let me start off by saying there is never really a boring day in payroll!
I enjoy the variety of clients ranging from café’s & consultancies to schools & colleges. Being able to get to know each client’s needs personally is a pleasure as each company has certain requirements. It’s not all standard as some would think!
Jasmine: I enjoy working in payroll because it changes so often. There is always something new to learn and no two pay periods are ever the same. I have also enjoyed maths since a young age and there is a lot of calculations to be done in payroll.
Why do you think clients should outsource their payroll responsibilities to us?
Samira: We have a great team here at Wenn’s and we strive to keep ourselves up to date on policies, procedures, and training. It is not just a job but a love for numbers and organisation that keeps our team running smoothly, so you can be assured your payroll is in safe hands.
